Welcome to Cold Process Soap Making with Melanie Skelton.

Cold-process soapmaking is a traditional method of creating soap from scratch using natural oils, lye (sodium hydroxide), and water. In addition, I love to use natural additives and scents to give the soap character. You will be learning about these options.

This process allows soapmakers to have complete control over the ingredients and customize the soap to their preferences. The term "cold process" refers to the fact that no external heat is applied during the soapmaking process.
